Installation

How to detect system type?

To confirm whether your Windows computer uses x64, ARM64, or x86 (32-bit) processor:

  1. Open the System Information tool. Press Win + R, enter msinfo32, then press Enter
  2. Go to System Summary → System Type, you will see the system architecture information

To confirm whether your Mac uses an Intel or Apple Silicon processor:

  1. Click the Apple icon in the top left corner of the screen
  2. Select "About This Mac"
  3. In the pop-up window, check the "Chip or Processor" information. If it starts with Intel, it's an Intel processor; otherwise, it's an Apple Silicon processor
The following command needs to be executed for the MAC installation package:
sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /path/to/Drift.dmg
Cannot run on Windows

Error prompt: Proxy executable file does not exist. Or prompt: The file contains a virus or potential unwanted software. Solution:

Method One:

  1. Open 'Settings' → 'Privacy & Security' → 'Windows Security Center' → 'Virus & Threat Protection'
  2. Click 'Manage Settings'
  3. At the bottom, add or remove exclusions, and add the Drift installation directory to the exclusions

Method Two:

  1. Open 'Settings' → 'Privacy & Security' → 'Windows Security Center' → 'Virus & Threat Protection'
  2. Click 'Manage Settings'
  3. Turn off 'Real-time Protection'
How to download on iOS

Due to policy reasons, DriftVPN is not available in the China App Store. You can download it by:

  1. You need a non-China Apple ID (e.g., US, Japan, Hong Kong, etc.)
  2. Switch to the non-China account in the App Store
  3. Search for 'DriftVPN' to find and download it
  4. If you don't have an overseas Apple ID, you can search online for tutorials on how to register a free overseas Apple ID

Forgot your password?

If you forgot your login password, you can reset it by following these steps:

  1. Go to the login page and click 'Forgot Password?'
  2. Enter your registered email address
  3. Check your email for a 6-digit verification code (valid for 5 minutes)
  4. Enter the verification code and your new password to complete the reset

Usage

How to start a trial

You can start your DriftVPN trial with these steps:

  1. Register an account on the official website or in any client
  2. Sign in to your account in any client
  3. Tap the switch button on the home page to start using the service
The current free trial traffic allowance is 600MB. This quota may change in the future based on operating policies. Please refer to the actual page display and the latest official information. DriftVPN reserves the right of final interpretation.
Supported devices/platforms

DriftVPN currently supports the following platforms:

  • Android (phones and tablets)
  • iOS (iPhone and iPad, requires a non-China App Store)
  • macOS (supports both Intel and Apple Silicon chips)
  • Windows (supports x64 architecture)
How many devices can be online simultaneously?

One account supports up to 3 devices online simultaneously. If the limit is exceeded, the earliest connected device will be automatically disconnected.
